Questions about moving in Dubai

The things people actually ask before booking a mover, answered straight, including the ones with awkward answers.

Booking and pricing

How much do movers cost in Dubai?

Cost depends on the size of your home, the distance, and whether you want packing, storage or dismantling included. A one-bedroom apartment move within Dubai sits at the lower end; a villa with full packing sits at the higher end. We survey first and give you one itemised price that does not move on the day.

Do you give a fixed quote or an estimate?

A fixed quote, after a free survey. Phone estimates are guesses, and guesses get revised upward once the crew sees the job. We look at what actually needs moving, then commit to a price in writing.

Which areas of Dubai and the UAE do you cover?

All of Dubai, including JVC, Marina, Business Bay, Downtown, JLT, Al Barsha, Dubai Hills, Arabian Ranches, DAMAC Hills, Mirdif, Deira, Bur Dubai and Jebel Ali. We also cover Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain.

On the day

Are my belongings insured during the move?

Yes, goods are covered in transit. The cover level is stated in writing on your quote, so you know what applies before you book rather than after something goes wrong.

Do you provide packing materials?

Yes, and they are included in the quoted price, boxes, bubble wrap, packing paper, tape and mattress covers. You are not billed per box afterwards.

Can you move at the weekend or after hours?

Yes, at no surcharge. Many Dubai buildings only permit moves outside office hours, and most offices prefer to move over a weekend, so this is routine for us.

What happens if something is damaged?

Tell the crew supervisor before they leave and report it in writing within the window stated on your quote. Goods are covered in transit and the cover level is on your quote before you book, so there is no argument about what applies.

Do I need to be there on moving day?

Someone should be, at both addresses, to walk the crew through at the start and check the inventory at the end. If you cannot be, nominate someone and tell us who in advance.

Permits, access and buildings

How much notice do you need?

Three to five days is comfortable for a home move and around two weeks for an office. We do take same-day and next-day bookings when a crew is free, call and we will tell you honestly.

Do you handle building permits and lift bookings?

Yes. We prepare the move-in/move-out NOC most Dubai buildings require and confirm your service lift slot with building management before the day.

What payment modes do you accept, and can I pay in instalments?

We accept all major payment methods including Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay, direct UAE bank transfer, and cash. You can also split your moving cost into 4 interest-free monthly instalments using Tabby or Tamara at 0% interest and no hidden fees, paid conveniently online through our website.

What if my building only allows moves at certain hours?

That is normal in Dubai and we work to it. Many towers only permit moves outside office hours, and some cap the service lift to a two- or three-hour block. We confirm your window with building management and size the crew to finish inside it.

Can your truck reach my building?

We check that at survey. Some Dubai podium car parks cap vehicle height at around 2.1 m, in which case we shuttle with a smaller vehicle rather than making the crew carry loads the length of the building.

Storage and payment

Can you store my things between two moves?

Yes, in our own warehouse. Everything is inventoried and photographed on intake, wrapped and stored on pallets, and you get the item list. Terms run weekly or monthly, so a ten-day handover slip costs ten days.

What payment modes and cards do you accept?

We accept all major payment modes: credit and debit cards (Visa and Mastercard), Apple Pay, Google Pay, direct UAE bank transfer, and cash. You can also split the total into interest-free monthly instalments using Tabby or Tamara (0% interest, zero extra fees). All digital transactions are processed securely through our website.

When is payment due?

A booking deposit holds your date once you accept the written quote, and the balance is due on completion. We never take money before the survey.
